# Delegation

Delegates are DAO Members who have been delegated voting power from another party’s governance tokens through an on-chain transaction.

* Only DAO Members in good standing may be Delegates.
* Non-Members who hold the DAO’s governance token may only delegate their token votes to a DAO Member in good standing.

**Delegators**

* The DAO allows DAO Members and other governance token holders may explicitly delegate their votes to any Delegate another member
* Delegators and/or Delegates may remove the delegation at any time for any reason.
  * No delegation of votes may be permanent.
  * The Treasury Committee may regulate the maximum amount of time a token may be delegated before it requires re-delegation.
* Tokens held by the Treasury, the Committees, or Team wallets are not eligible for Delegation.
